It wasn't really quiet, per se. But it was as close to quiet as the canyons got at this hour. Alphaba chose, rather than stay and listen to the cacophony, to stretch her wings. It wasn't that she was at all bothered by the sound, but occasionally she needed to clear her mind. She would never say she took joy in her work. It was too draining to take joy in. Taking the lives of others... It was a cruel necessity. But it was her duty, and she would carry it out as long as it was necessary. Moments like this, where she could have relative peace, were both a blessing and a curse.
