kira The sun was finally setting, and she watched it dip down. For a moment the sky was bathed in a beautiful red glow. Then, it was still light for a moment before the night took over and the stars winked down at her from the place in space. She tilted her head and blinked back at them, wondering what they were saying.
The night was beginning, and it was time to be queen again. She opened her wings and rose from her nest, taking into the air with her silent prowess, flapping without noise through the canyonlands. Her head swivelled here and there and she could see some of her soldiers getting up to begin the night. Barking out a couple orders in her cold, detached voice, she sent them on their way to do various tasks, ranging from rather important to boringly meaningless.
She herself was planning to scout the land, but none of the soldiers who'd gotten up so far had caught her eye. She either had gone on some trip with them before, or had decided that they weren't good enough to keep up. Instead, she was looking for new blood, an owl she could get to know well. Kira loved the New Order and thought of them as her family. She would never leave them. She saw to it that each owl was dedicated and happy living in the canyons. It would not do for them to all leave to join the Guardians.

Night, just like any other night, was proving to show the New Order's real lively side. You would think that as soon as that sun dipped behind the canyons and the moon began to show its face for yet another night would there be less activity, but at this time more owls were most likely to be out doing the more important stuff. Night was the time that his home became most vulnerable from anything like attacks to escapes, so guard duty was at its peak.
Along with many other owls, it was Raimo's turn to stand on night watch. From where he was perched, he waited reluctantly for someone else to take over his spot so he could move to the next one but before that could happen his face lit up with attention to something else that no soldier would dare defy their attention to. The Queen herself was passing by, screeching orders from one small group of soldiers to the next. Raimo could see that all the others held their posture slightly better in her presence, he himself of course did the same.
A thought did cross his mind that urged him to abandon his post and accompany her because he knew exactly what she was doing, she was patrolling and rumour had it that if you were lucky you could join her on the patrol. Part of him really wanted to but the other part of him was skeptical of the idea of flying with the queen, the king sacred Raimo enough from a distance even though he had never really spoken a word to him once, and the queen was one step away from that very fear.
As she flew by Raimo was caught off guard by another owl landing next to him, it was the one he was waiting for. Ready to take over his post in order for Raimo to move to the next one. Once the other had landed he spread his wings and took off, flying slightly lower than the other posts surrounding him as he flew past. The sight of the queen not too far away from him dug his idea back out to reconsider his choice. Finally building up the courage he flew slightly in a different direction to the side in order to keep up with her.
"My Queen, I heard you were patrolling tonight. Are you looking for any assistance on your patrol?" He asked, trying to hint that he wanted to come with her. - Tag: Lionhearted | Kira Notes: -

kira Kira turned at the voice, tilting her head. She only recognized him vaguely, as a member of the New Order, but hadn't talked to him. Of course, she almost never had time to chat intimately with any of her owls, and this would provide the perfect time for her to meet some new faces.
Her face softened and she nodded. "Of course, Raimo," she hooted. "You are welcome to join me. I was just looking for one other owl, and you fit the bill quite perfectly. Let us leave. We'll just be scouting the land for new prospects." She lifted off, not waiting for him to follow. "While we fly, let's chat. How are you enjoying your time here?" i will do what queens do. i will rule. Shark | Raimo OOC: I AM SO SORRY college apps have gotten me swamped ;-; template by Margie @ Adoxography v2
