Kira embodies the flame.
She faces the world with a fierceness that is hardly rivaled by anyone. Her intensity for life and survival is enough to be blinding, and her harsh, clipped words leave little room for negotiation. Kira always maintains a very stoic and stiff position when in her position of queen, and addresses everyone with a detached sort of coolness that is somehow more burning than chilling. A no-nonsense type of person, Kira's decisions are made with careful consideration and are usually very reasonable, though once she decides on something she will not go back-- whether out of pride or out of sternness, Kira does not allow anyone to change her mind afterward without going down with a fight. The spirit of the fire roars within her as she spreads her wings and flexes her political muscle, often wielding her power to the point of being tyrannical (a trait that has slowly been growing under the influence of her partner, Zopyros). She has learned to be emotionally detached from her duties and decisions as queen, and often allows her ambition to flow freely-- it fuels the flames and drives her to the edge of evil, and in doing so the fire consumes all moral principles-- which she lets go of anyway when acting the leader.
On the other hand, Kira is warm and comforting, truly representative of the gentle and beautiful side of fire. She has a very mature and intelligent demeanor around her, and a motherly side that rears its rare head when she is off duty. Though she is definitely not gullible, she can be lulled into giving second chances, which she wants to give anyway-- despite her coldness, she truly loves her New Order owls and wishes them all to grow up to be strong, dedicated fighters. She herself is completely loyal to the group and her allies, and as a fire goes, will go down burning until she is extinguished once and for all. An able leader, Kira is strong and wise with six years of experience.

History
Kira was a kind soul that was born into an evil community. The New Order trained her up to be an able fighter, and for many a while she assumed that they were the good ones, and the Guardians were the malevolents. She hung onto her mentor's every word, learning and loving to be a part of the great New Order. They encouraged her ambitious nature, nurturing it down a dark path. Young Kira was often driven to do wild, evil things because the adults allowed it, and even applauded it-- they needed owls like her who were willing to do what was desired. They could see that she was going to become an able queen one day, and made plans to marry her off to the heir.
Growing up, Kira made friends within the New Order, and began to think of them as her family. One day, though, as she was doing a five-day scouting trip for their community, she stumbled upon an old owl. Curious, she introduced herself, and remembered not to include her faction, as the adults strictly told her. The old owl warmly welcomed her into his hollow, and allowed her to stay in it while she explored the area. The elder owl told her tales and legends of the great Guardians, and at first she was confused, and adamantly argued their evilness-- she was always taught that they were a bane in the world. Yet the old owl firmly shook his head and told of all the noble deeds the Guardians did. Kira frowned, and flew back, her mind reeling. Smartly, she decided not to mention her newfound knowledge to any of the older adults.
Later, when she matured, she learned of the evilness of the New Order, as well as the purity of the Guardians. She took more scouting trips and casually inquired about the mysterious Hoolians, and everyone said the same thing as the old owl had. And soon she came to realize that they were the bad owls. But it was too late now-- she'd fallen in love with them, came to think of them as her one and only family. Never would she leave them, for she had already sworn a private devotion to them, and her fierce appreciation for everything they gave to her prevented her from leaving to join the Guardians, whose ideas and beliefs she admired. But could only be from a distance, and as she rose to the ranks of queen she knew that they'd one day be her enemies. The New Order was what she'd been raised in; her mentors taught her everything and made her who she was; her friends fought alongside her and had her back; and she embraced every ideal they had, for they were what she lived for.
For a while she was crestfallen that she had to align herself-- albeit voluntarily-- with such darkness, but she eventually learned to detach herself from such actions. She had done them before-- she was young and stupid, egged on by the adults, but she had nevertheless experienced everything morbid-- and so she already rarely felt remorse when her claws sank into another owl's neck, or when she plucked an owlet from a nest. And so she continues her reign as queen of the New Order, bringing the community to new heights with her wild dreams and ambitions. She hopes to destroy the Guardians-- not only for her owls, but for her as well, so that she may finally lay her hopes of becoming a Hoolian to rest.
